The Suite Life at Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore (Hotel Review)

by Accommodations, Singapore2 comments

Singapore is known for its fast-paced city life, disciplined citizens, and urban sophistication with the Marina Bay Skyline boasting iconic structures like the Merlion, Helix Bridge, and famous chain hotels. Although it is a small city, tourists enjoy Singapore for its hawker centers, cultural sites, high-end shopping, and top-rated restaurants and bars. (Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore )

As a traveler, aside from the must-see spots of the city, I often always look forward to the accommodation I will be staying at. Ask anybody, a good accommodation is the cherry on top of a perfectly planned vacation.

But with the hype for Crazy Rich Asians, I was even more excited for my Singapore trip this year. For this, I stayed at Citadines Mount Sophia [link], a serviced residence hotel that gleamed with simplicity and elegance.

About Citadines Mount Sophia

Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore

City Center Hotel. For travelers on the go, it is important to book an accommodation that is walking distance from train stations and establishments. Case in point, Citadines Mount Sophia is only a 5-minute walk from Bencoolen MRT and is very close to shopping malls like The Atrium at Orchard, Bugis, and PoMo.

Modern meets sophistication. The interiors of the hotel are also well-curated which surely adds some charm to the place. The quirky pieces (colorfully patterned rugs, uniquely shaped sofas, and stools, brightly painted walls) at the lobby immediately give the impression that the hotel is well-designed and modern. Needless to say, it has an ambiance that is very cozy and welcoming.

Friendly staff. The key to a hotel’s success is its people. And as I’ve expected, the staff at Citadines Mount Sophia are hospitable, accommodating, and can easily give you tips on how to go around the metro. Whatever your concern may be, you’ll be assured that they are knowledgeable about the places to visit, especially for first-timers in this ‘Lion City’.

The Rooms

Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore

Citadines Mount Sophia offers 5 apartment room types – Studio, Studio Executive, 1-Bedroom Deluxe, 1-Bedroom Executive, and 2-Bedroom Executive. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, LCD television, cable, and extra space for a living room.

Studio (36 square meters) and Studio Executive (40 square meters). These units are ideal for couples or for business executives who are traveling solo. The room offers a queen-sized bed and includes a 2-seater sofa which can be converted into a sofa-bed if needed. Room features include bathroom, living and dining area, and kitchenette.

1-Bedroom Deluxe (48 square meters) and 1-Bedroom Executive (56 square meters). These rooms, with their generous space, are perfect for a party of three. Each room has wall-to-wall windows which offer guests a view of the Singapore skyline. The furniture and accent pieces have bright hues which add life to the room too. Unit features include a bathroom, a bigger living and dining area, and a kitchenette.

2-Bedroom Executive (64 square meters). This unit caters to bigger groups (party of 4 guests) given the spacious layout of the bedrooms, dining, and living areas. The master bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, a single bed in the second bedroom, and a sofa-bed in the living room. Of course, this unit includes a bathroom, a bigger living and dining area, and a kitchenette.

All in all, no matter which room you choose, you will definitely feel pampered and relaxed without breaking the bank given the hotel’s fair rates.
