Singapore is known for its fast-paced city life, disciplined citizens, and urban sophistication with the Marina Bay Skyline boasting iconic structures like the Merlion, Helix Bridge, and famous chain hotels. Although it is a small city, tourists enjoy Singapore for its hawker centers, cultural sites, high-end shopping, and top-rated restaurants and bars. (Citadines)
As a traveler, aside from the must-see spots of the city, I often always look forward to the accommodation I will be staying at. Ask anybody, a good accommodation is the cherry on top of a perfectly planned vacation.
But with the hype for Crazy Rich Asians, I was even more excited for my Singapore trip this year. For this, I stayed at Citadines Mount Sophia, a serviced residence hotel that gleamed with simplicity and elegance.

» THE HOTEL «
City Center Hotel. For travelers on the go, it is important to book an accommodation that is walking distance from train stations and establishments. Case in point, Citadines Mount Sophia is only a 5-minute walk from Bencoolen MRT and is very close to shopping malls like The Atrium at Orchard, Bugis, and PoMo.
Modern meets sophistication. The interiors of the hotel are also well curated which surely add some charm to the place. The quirky pieces (colorful patterned rugs, uniquely shaped sofas and stools, brightly painted walls) at the lobby immediately give the impression that the hotel is well-designed and modern. Needless to say, it has an ambiance that is very cozy and welcoming.
Friendly staff. The key to a hotel’s success is its people. And as I’ve expected, the staff at Citadines Mount Sophia are hospitable, accommodating, and can easily give you tips on how to go around the metro. Whatever your concern may be, you’ll be assured that they are knowledgeable about the places to visit, especially for first timers in this ‘Lion City’.
