Universal Studios Japan Christmas

» Minions Hacha-Mecha Christmas Party

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?
…Well, how about a yellow one as you dance the day away with lots and lots of adorable Minions at Minion Park?

Of course, since it’s the Minions we’re talking about, you bet that you will experience some extraordinary mayhem! So do expect that you will be surrounded by a blizzard of balloons, bubbles, and even snow — because I sure was! It was definitely a lot of fun watching the whole parade show and by the end of it, you will even get the chance to be up close and personal not only with the Minions but with everyone that’s part of the party!

» The Gift Of Angels Ⅲ: The Voice of an Angel

There are several reasons as to why you should NOT miss Universal Studios Japan ™ ‘s “The Gift of Angels III” show. First things first, this special live show has been running for over 10 years now and it has garnered multiple awards for its impeccable display of bright light works, colorful fireworks, and flying angels among many others. It’s said that this year’s show will be the last so it’s certainly your last chance for witnessing it all!

Apart from this, you will also get to see the “Universal Illusion Tree” which is lauded as the world’s most illuminated tree. Besides, did you know that it has been awarded by Guinness World Record™ for having the ‘most lights on an artificial Christmas tree’ starting in 2011 up to this year? Yep — it is that amazing!

» Hogwarts™ Magical Nights -Winter Magic-

Christmas fun in Universal Studios Japan ™ definitely never ends because ultimate winter magic is unleashed in the wizarding village of Hogsmeade! As such, while you sip on your Butterbeer™,  you should go and visit Hogwarts™ castle after sunset and watch as it is basked with colorful lights and music.

And of course, let’s not waste your magic — prepare your wand, stand in front of the Hogsmeade™ Christmas Tree, and cast a spell to illuminate the candlelights or make the ornaments move. Naturally, there are a lot of other key spots in the area where you can have some more fun with your special wand!

» Christmas food & snacks

Christmas Market

Most of the restaurants and stalls at Universal Studios Japan ™ have Christmas items on their menu (like Minion cookies, etc.), but if you want some special treats, head on over to the Christmas Market strip near Minion Park to sample dishes like their sweet potato corn or sweet potato soup which turned out to be my favorites!

NOTE: I also loved the caramel banana popcorn that’s being sold at Minion Park!

» The fun Christmas souvenirs

Minion

Aside from the regular merchandise collections at Universal Studios Japan ™, the seasonal limited items that are specially made for this Christmas are a must to check because they’re always so popular — for a really good reason!

For starters, there is a huge collection of Minion items that are not limited to Christmas-themed headbands, plush toys, parkas, blankets, hats, and more. Personally, I am in love with the ‘POP A NANA’ Minion Popcorn bucket designs that they have released this year so I suggest that you get your hands on those!

…So what are you waiting for? Join the holiday cheer with Universal Studios Japan ™ this holiday season!
