    I dig the idea of breaking out of the box.

    Going on a cruise is definitely a change up. Big time, from the traditional family visit or even trip to a beach.

    We have been in NJ for the last 2 holiday seasons but prior, we spent Christmas in the tropics. Bali, Thailand and Sri Lanka, all of which were neat. Oh yeah, we also spent Christmas of 2016 in a remote Costa Rican jungle which was fascinating too. We forget it was a holiday being surrounded by just wildlife and pristine nature.
