Due to a sudden blast of creativity last month, I started to recreate this certain artwork that I’ve seen on the internet [see the initial work in progress here]… Months later, I finally finished it! Ta-dah!
I swear… it was such a b*tch shading the rest of her hair, that’s why I had to continually put off finishing this piece. Until of course, I finally decided to be done with it last night. So I guess… in a sense, I spent a total of only three nights working on this drawing despite having started it last September 6. (I put the ‘pro’ in procrastination, baby!)
Nontheless, I’m very glad that I finished this! I have a lot of sketches piled up that are unfinished and forgotten (especially since I don’t know where they are anymore) but I really hope that this would be the start of my art-scapades. I really missed drawing… and painting too! That’s why for me, it is really an accomplishment to have done this given my current busy schedule.
DISCLAIMER: This is not an original drawing, meaning that I recreated this image from a certain artwork [see here]. I am really good at copying, I haven’t come up with an original artwork yet because I always need to have some basis. So there. Hopefully in the future, I can start doing sketches from scratch.
MATERIALS: Simply, paper and pencil.
I am very proud of the eyes, nose, and the lips! YAY! The left photo above is the original finished artwork, whereas the picture on the right was cleaned and colored in Photoshop.
