Gift Ideas for Regular Travellers

Gift Ideas for Regular Travellers

If you have a friend who likes to travel and you are wondering what to buy them for their birthday or for any other occasion, for sure a travel-related gift is a must to give. But indeed, coming by gift ideas can be quite a task! Don’t fret though because I will be helping you out in making this gift-giving an easier ordeal. By the end of it all, they will surely love receiving such a thoughtful present from you with the help of this post. Besides, any of the items below will be things that they will absolutely be using, so it won’t just sit in the back of a drawer.

Without further ado, here are some gift ideas that you can give to that special someone in your life who loves to travel!

Swimwear

Every kind of traveller needs swimwear. After all, being able to take a few hours to relax by the sea, a pool or a lake is a great way to recharge the batteries. It is a chance to freshen up, get a little exercise and meet new people in a relaxed setting.

Rest assured, firms like Simply Be offer plenty of swimming suit choices, so it is not hard to find an item of swimwear that is just right for your friend!

Lounge Membership

One of the most stressful things about travel is the time spent in busy airports. Having to wait hours between flights, or suffering delays can get anyone down. As a result, lounge membership makes for a great gift.

It helps even more if you know what specific airline they regularly fly with so that you could buy them a lounge pass for that certain company. However, most of the time, membership to a club that allows them access to lounges across the world is a better option. These passes are not particularly cheap, so this is the type of gift you might want to club together with others to buy.

Power Bank

Another headache most travellers face is keeping their electronics charged. As a generation that relies a lot on technology and the internet, it is always handy to have a power bank on hand — just in case.

If they are backpacking or like to travel only with cabin luggage, make sure that you buy a compact one that does not weigh too much.

Packing Accessories

When you travel a lot, having the right luggage becomes extremely important. Items like packing cubes, clear-pac bags and lockable travel straps all make for very useful presents — they make it far easier to pack, stay organised and keep everything secure.

For those who have a lot of electronics, a roll-up cord organiser makes for a particularly great gift.

Travel Scales

Being able to weigh your luggage each time you fly is important. Excess baggage charges are high in all parts of the world. As a result, a set or a small luggage scale makes for a good gift for nomadic travellers.

Sunglasses

Most people need a good pair of sunglasses when they travel. If you are not sure what type they normally wear buy them a voucher from a big eyewear retailer.

Sleep aids

If you travel a lot, you inevitably find yourself in situations where it is difficult to get some good quality sleep. Therefore, items like an inflatable travel pillow, silk eye mask and ear plugs are good choices for gift ideas!

E-books & Music

It is always nice to have something to read or listen to when you travel especially for those long-haul flights, bus or train rides. And what better companion for those than books and songs, right?

  1. I can never have enough swimming trunks Aileen LOL. Go thru them like nothing. Because with all the time I spend in the tropics, swimming in that salt water in the ocean, high salinity levels do a number on the swim suits I nab before the trip. I always try to have 2 suits in tow but appreciate any and all swimming gear I receive as a gift.
